City Council Expected To Discuss Mask Ordinance

WAAY 31's Megan Reyna joined lived outside of city hall with what to expect from the council meeting.

I spoke to the council president -- paige bibbee earlier this afternoon about what we can expect from tonight.

She said this meeting came out of a request from councilman billy jackson.

He wanted to know the options for mask ordinances.

The options are to either pass a resolution -- which would not include a fine.

Or an ordinance.

That does include a fine -- which could range from 1- dollar to 5-hundred dollars.

Now tonight's meeting will include public input.

There's a sign up list right outside the chamber and only so many people will be actually allowed inside.

If it does fill it up - there's an area to wait outside and a police officer will call your name when its your turn.

You'll only have three minutes to share your thoughts with council.
