Utica police have been searching local convenience stores for illegal fireworks, and found two stores not in compliance.

Utica police say they found two stores to be selling illegal fireworks.
And now.... two people are charged with unlawful possession of fireworks.
At the direction of the mayor's office -- utica police checked 31 stores as part of this investigation.
