CVS Health Adds New Solutions To Digital Health Platform
FierceHealthCare reports that CVS Health's pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), added five new solutions to its health care platform.
The new solutions allow its customers to sift through digital health solutions to include in health plans.
PBMs have traditionally been responsible for administering prescriptions and negotiating the costs of drugs for large employers and health insurers.
However, according to Business Insider, CVS Caremark began using this same model for digital health products in June 2019.
CVS wants to enable payers to formalize the reimbursement and distribution for digital tools.
Among the newly added solutions are mental health tools designed to manage anxiety.
