'Traitors', 'Rs 8,000 crore debt': Scindia attacks ex-Congress colleagues

Member of Parliament and leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, Jyotiraditya Scindia, trained his guns at senior leaders of the Indian National Congress party in Madhya Pradesh. Scindia, who was a Congressman himself before quitting in March, accused ex-MP Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh of leaving behind a debt of Rs 8,000 crore for successor Shivraj Chouhan of the BJP. Scindia also brought up Congress' pre-poll promise of waiving all farm loans within 10 days of coming to power. He said that the vow remained unfulfilled even in 15 months. Madhya Pradesh is set to see bypolls to 27 Assembly seats. The election will be held along with the Assembly polls in Bihar, amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The bypolls were necessitated due to defection of over 20 Congress MLAs led by Scindia to the BJP, and deaths of some legislators. Watch the full video for more.

Babri demolition verdict tomorrow: D-day for Advani & 31 others l Key details

A special CBI court is set to pronounce the verdict in the criminal case related to the demolition of the Babri mosque on 30th September. BJP stalwarts LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Kalyan Singh and Uma Bharti are among the 32 accused in the case. Ram Temple Trust chairman Nritya Gopal Das and general secretary Champat Rai are also among the accused in the case. The verdict in the criminal case relating to the demolition comes months after PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. This after a Supreme Court verdict in November 2019 had ordered that the disputed site in Ayodhya be given to the Hindu site for construction of a temple and had asked the government to provide an alternative site to the Muslim side for building a mosque. The Supreme Court had however called the demolition illegal. In April 2017, the top court had asked the special court to conduct day-to-day hearings and complete the trial within two years. The court was also given extensions and when the special judge sought more time the deadline had been extended to 30th September. Watch the full video for all the details.

Bizarre! Woman approaches family court counsellor after father defeats her in Ludo

A 24-year-old woman approached a family court when she was allegedly defeated several times in Ludo games by her father in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal. During the lockdown period, the young woman, her two siblings and their father used to play the board game. After losing a game, the young woman developed resentment against her father, which increased over time and the family had to undergo counselling sessions to resolve the issue. Speaking to ANI, a counsellor in Bhopal Family Court, Sarita Rajani said, "Nowadays, children are unable to endure defeat which is why such cases come up. They need to learn to accept defeat which is as important as winning. A 24-year-old young woman had come to us and said that when she was playing Ludo with her siblings and father, her father killed her tokens (goti) and she felt it was a breach of trust. She said she had trusted her father a lot and didn't expect to be defeated by him. The woman said she lost respect for her father as he went on to defeat her." "She feels that her father should have lost in the game for the sake of her happiness. Her father defeated her several times over time. Her anger increased and she stopped addressing him as father. She has been counselled four times till now and the situation is improving. We will find a positive solution," she added. Rajani said that the girl did not share her feelings with her family and decided to seek counselling about the matter. She said the young woman is currently pursuing her studies, and the family lives in Bhopal city. The girl does not have a mother and she is the youngest of three siblings. "People have high expectations from family members and if there is a slight shortcoming, it causes tensions. Nowadays, children are unable to bear defeat," counsellor further stated.
