Blowout preventer set up in attempt to cap Baghjan oil well
As the flames continue to rage from Oil India well in Baghjan region of Assam's Tinsukia, authorities set up a blowout preventer (BOP) on August 17 to douse the fire.
Team of experts installed the BOP for the third time to cap the well.
Efforts for capping up the well have failed twice in past.
A blowout occurred from the well in Tinsukia district on May 27, following which the well caught fire on June 09.
