Wild bear enters residential area and attacks two person before getting rescued in India

A wild bear entered a residential area in Bhawanipatna, India, in the Kalahandi district, and injured two people before it was rescued by the forest department in a 5 hours rescue operation on August 21, 2020.

DFO, Nitish Kumar, talking to the media said: "the bear entered the area on the 20th of August night." A video of a bear attacking the man can be seen.

People in the area came with sticks in their hands and hit the animal to rescue the man.

The fire department, local police, and forest department were involved in the rescue operation.
