Mortal remains of Sepoy Prashant Sharma were brought to his village in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar on August 30.

Soldier Prashant Sharma was grievously injured in an encounter in Pulwama district on August 29.

Later, he succumbed to his injuries.

Three terrorists were killed in the encounter and Sepoy Prashant Sharma suffered multiple gunshots on his chest.

Huge crowds gathered to pay tribute to the late sepoy at his native place.
