Elephant gives itself a muddy scrub while on a stroll in south India

An elephant stopped near a village in south India to give its undercarriage a muddy scrub in this unique video.

The elephant was sighted near Mettupayalam, a hilly town located in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu on August 26.

The local people were worried as despite many elephant herd passing through the area, a lone elephant often poses more of an unpredictable threat.

But to their reassuring surprise, the elephant just went to the backyard of a house, where it found a small pit with water and it started playing on the water and mud, getting up and flopping down several times before leaving.
