Air Quality Index (AQI) remained in ‘poor category’ in several parts of Delhi and NCR. AQI in Lodhi Road area was at 203, as per Central Pollution Control Board data. CPCB data shows that Delhi’s overall air quality index (AQI) on Sunday was 274. On November 22, India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned that pollution levels could rise in Delhi today. Safar also predicted that AQI would deteriorate to the middle end of very poor. Meanwhile, temperatures also dropped in most parts of northwest India. After four days of breather, Delhi's air quality again deteriorated to poor-very poor category in various parts of the national capital, according to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Delhi woke up to smoggy morning with Air Quality Index (AQI) in Anand Vihar at 306 (very poor category), around IGI Airport (T3) at 229 (poor category), around Lodhi Road at 181 (moderate category), and in RK Puram at 287 (poor category) as per data released by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). An AQI reading between 0 and 50 is considered "good", 51 and 100 "satisfactory", 101 and 200 "moderate", 201 and 300 "poor", 301 and 400 "very poor", and 401 and 500 "severe".
