Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the new National Education Policy has revolutionary changes and focuses on the youth.
Addressing a national webinar on creating awareness on National Education Policy, 2020, the senior Minister said, "The mother tongue and local language have been given importance in the new education policy.
Our mother tongue is not only a way of expression but also an easy medium to learn." "We are one of the youngest countries in the world.
Our youth is the power through which we can achieve the biggest of targets.
Identifying this power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid emphasis on youth in all fields," he added.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday released the Project Management Approach (PMA) guidelines for iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) during the launch function of Defence India Startup Challenge-4 (DISC4). Protests have broken out in many parts of Uttar Pradesh against the Hathras incident. Congress workers were lathi charged and detained by police when they were going to gherao the Chief Minister’s residence in Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh police is facing fire over the victim’s family members’ allegations that they forcefully cremated the victim’s body in the wee hours despite objections from the family members. The local administration has said that they had sought the family members’ permission before her cremation. The woman was raped in a village in Hathras by four men on September 14. He said that laws had to be changed to achieve their vision for India’s farmers. Tomar said that these bills give farmers the independence to sell their produce anywhere in the country and free them from the restrictions of the APMCs. Calling the bill revolutionary, Tomar said that these bills will bring a very positive change in the life of farmers. He added that farmers will now have the freedom to set their price and sell their produce and added that they will not have to face the trouble of making multiple visits to the APMCs. Tomar added that farmers will also save the tax that they have to pay APMCs. The Union Minister reiterated that the system of Minimum Support Price will remain and also allayed fears about making APMCs extinct and farmers have the freedom to choose how they want to sell their produce.
