Medford Police have issued a 24-hour notice to people who have come to camp in Hawthorne Park since the Almeda Fire caused closures on the Bear Creek Greenway.

And turning on all spoke with the medford police about this eviction notice and how they are planning on helping campers relocate.

Monica says: people living here at hawthorne park feel like they have no where to go today as they were faced with a final 24 hour eviction notice.

Notice that park will be closed tomorrow.

And so we're trying to connect everybody that we can that's out here today to, to some of those resources and locations where they can get help.

The medford police department came to tent city trying to help people by offering resources that they may not be able to afford.

The police department partnered has also partnered with other organizations to help with physical and mental health as work to move people out of hawthorne park arnold: today is all voluntary.

Everything we're doing is just walking around 10 to 10, trying to connect people with those resources.

Cause a lot of, a lot of folks that are out here just don't have that connection.

I've never either.

I haven't had an, any opportunity to meet with him.

So, um, bring a rogue retreat out here has been really helpful and it's connected a lot of people so far.

The medford police want to remind everyone that hawthorne park is a public park and not a designated campground.

Human feces, needles and drugs were found all around the park.

Resources will be available all day today to help people find new shelters and places to camp.
