Red Cross volunteers do Covid-19 safety dance in Myanmar

This is the heartwarming moment Red Cross volunteers danced in a market to raise coronavirus safety measures awareness.

A group of volunteers carried out a public education campaign by dancing at an open market in Yangon, Myanmar on August 29.

The volunteers were seen dancing to the beat of the song 'Go Away Corona' by Burmese singers Phyp Pyae Sone and Miss Sandi while wearing masks, plastic face shields and gloves as locals buy their food in the nearby shops.

Also features in the song is the country's Health Ministry instructions: "Wash your hands often.

Avoid crowds, stay in your own home, wear a mask, avoid crowds, and stay within six feet away from others." Myanmar is currently suffering a spike of Covid-19 with Yangon, also known as Rangoon, under lock down and the city turning into the country's hot spot of the pandemic.

The former British trading settlement, also known as Burma, has recorded 6,743 coronavirus cases and 1,115 deaths.
