Purdue University Offering On-Campus Flu Vaccination Sites

Starting today.

The co-rec on campus will serve as a primary site continuing wednesday and friday.

And next week on monday and wednesday from 10 am to 8 pm each day.

Students who are on campus and all faculty and staff are required to receive a vaccination this fall as part of the protect purdue plan.

The clinics also cover spouses and dependents on a purdue medical plan.

Libby richards is an associate professor in the school of nursing at purdue.

She says creating this availability for those on campus will ultimately help keep greater lafayette healthy.

Libby -- we know that our students don't just live and thrive on campus, they extend out into our community and so having a vaccinated population protects our community as well.

The flu shots are free of charge for faculty and students on campus..
