Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Chirag Paswan on October 18 said he welcomes criticism from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, even from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said, "Why should I not respect Modi ji.
Only he called me for support when my father was admitted to ICU.
The CM is anxious to portray a distance and wedge between LJP and BJP.
I'd like to allay this fear by saying that I welcome criticism from BJP leaders, even from the PM." Bihar will go for three-phased elections starting from October 28 and results will be declared on November 10.
National president Lok Janshakti Party Chirag Paswan slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar by comparing him with 'Mahishasura' over Munger violence. He said that the people of the state which he termed goddess Durga bhakts, will tell CM Kumar that how will they kill (vadh) the 'Mahishasuri' government on voting day.
LJP Chief Chirag Paswan has said that that Nitish KumarтАЩs time as Chief Minister is up and he will not return to power. Chirag Paswan said that the BJP and LJP would form government in the state after election and added that it would work for development in the state. Paswan further attacked the Chief Minister saying that people have not forgotten how he treated the migrant labourers during the Covid crisis and lockdown and also lashed out at him over the recent firing incident in Munger where one person was killed. The first phase of polling was held in Bihar on 28th of October and witnessed a turnout of around 54.26 percent. The next two phase are scheduled to be held on 3rd & 7th of November and the result will be declared on 10th of November. The major battle is between the Nitish Kumar led NDA and Tejsashwi Yadav led Mahagathbandhan. First phase of Bihar state assembly elections took place on October 28. The voter turn-out in the first phase neared 50%. Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan adamantly claimed that a new government of BJP-LJP will be formed in Bihar on November 10. Chirag Paswan said, "I spoke to various candidates and I could feel a sense of enthusiasm in their voice. Clearly, whatever voting has taken place this time is for a change and for development. People have considered various atrocities. The feedback which I have received clearly indicates that it is very difficult that Bihar Chief Minister will get re-elected. BJP-LJP government will be formed on November 10 in Bihar."
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut called Munger firing incident an attack on Hindutva. He said, "Munger firing incident is an attack on Hindutva. If such an incident would have had happened in Maharashtra, West Bengal or Rajasthan, governors and BJP leaders would have demanded President's rule. So, why is Bihar governor and BJP leaders not raising questions?" On October 26, firing happened at the time of Goddess Durga idols immersion in Munger and a man got killed in the incident.
On killing of 3 BJP workers by terrorists, party chief of Jammu and Kashmir, Ravinder Raina said, "They were brave workers of BJP. They attained martyrdom for Bharat Mata and their sacrifice won't go in vain. Coward Pakistanis will have to pay heavy price for their sins, each one of them will be neutralised." Three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers were killed in JandK's Kulgam on October 29 after terrorists opened fire at them.
A scuffle broke out between West Bengal's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and Police in Bagnan area of Howrah district, on October 29. BJP was agitating against death of a party worker who succumbed to his gunshot injuries on October 28. BJP workers alleged that he was shot at by All India Trinamool Congress' worker. The political party had also called for a 12-hour bandh in Howrah.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tribute to former Gujarat CM Keshubhai Pat at his residence in Gandhinagar on October 30. Keshubhai Patel passed away after prolonged illness in Ahmedabad on Oct 29. Earleir, PM Modi expressed his grief saying that he had lost a father figure.
