Doctor Jennifer Rohn has said the new South American coronavirus variant is a "concern", adding that the vaccine might be "slightly less effective" against the mutation. Despite the speedy rollout of the coronavirus vaccine, GPs say they are concerned about the quantity and predictability of the vaccine distribution. Professor Azeem Majeed says local vaccine sites are "running out of vaccine quite regularly", adding that "if we had more supplies of vaccine, we could certainly vaccinate more quickly and vaccinate a lot more people."
