Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra on November 24 lambasted on former chief minister of MP Kamal Nath over alleged corruption charge and said that he committed crime by looting money of MP's poor people.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on January 09 reached Bhopal and met Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. She also met BJP leader Imarti Devi, who was being called 'item' by former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath. After meeting Imarti Devi, Kangana opened up about the crimes against women. She said that law system should be reformed to provide speedy justice to women. Commenting on web series 'Tandav', which has invited a couple of controversies, Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh Narottam Mishra said makers would've been behind the bars, if they were not provided relief by the court. "When we react on an act then they say that we are creating chaos. Why do you do such acts that a reaction is needed? We will not tolerate such things at all. Court has provided them relief so they are safe otherwise they would have been behind bars," said Madhya Pradesh Home Minister.
Saif Ali Khan starrer 'Tandav' has spiked controversy across the country. MP government will register case, thinking of banning it. We'll request Centre for a policy to restrict web series that use vulgar language and attack religious sentiments," said Narottam Mishra on 'Tandav' controversy.

He said, 'It is a sad and serious incident. CM had clarified that such incidents cannot be tolerated. SP, Collector and SDOP were immediately suspended. The local distillery will also be investigated.' The death toll in Madhya Pradesh spurious liquor tragedy has mounted to 20 on January 13. Several people from Manpur and Pahawali villages got hospitalized after falling sick due to consumption of poisonous liquor. Probe is underway and more details are awaited in this regard.

A custom official was found with Rs 75 lakh in cash at the Bengaluru airport on January 19. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials intercepted Mohammad Irfan who was travelling to Lucknow along with his wife, and recovered the huge cash from his possession. CISF officials informed the Income Tax Department for further investigation into the matter.
The Income Tax department questioned Robert Vadra in connection with its probe against him under the benami assets law, official sources said. He was questioned for about eight hours and his statement was recorded as part of the proceedings related to the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, they said. Vadra said the action was aimed to ‘digress’ from the ‘real issues’ concerning the country like the farmers' protest. “We have answered everything. It was nothing related to Benami,” said Vadra. "Everybody knows it is. If Priyanka is going to move out looking for helping the farmers and all the other issues of the government, they are going to come to Robert Vadra,”he added when asked if the action is related to political vendetta.
