MP man arrested for allegedly forcing wife to convert faith
A man was booked and arrested under section of Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act, 1968 for allegedly trying to convert the faith of his wife in Shahdol.
"They were living together since 2018.
The woman, a Hindu, has lodged a complaint, stating that the man, Irshad Khan, harassed her and his family members were pressurising her to adapt to their culture and learn Arabic language," said Bharat Dubey, SDPO, Dhanpuri, Shahdol.
