Opposition parties continue to attack the Modi government over the farmer protests.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that farmers are the real strength of the country and urged people to join their cause.
‘If the farm laws passed by the Modi government are good for farmers, why are they angry?’ Rahul Gandhi asked.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that farmers are being treated like terrorists by the Modi government.
Farmers have been protesting at various places in Delhi and Haryana and have rejected the central government's offer to hold talks on December 3 saying that imposing conditions for starting a dialogue is an insult to them.
Farmers have called for talks without any pre-conditions and the Opposition parties have also pressed the government to initiate an unconditional dialogue with the farmers.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that his party would contest 20-25 seats in the Goa Assembly polls due on 2022. He also took a jibe at casino business in Goa. "I won't say to ban casinos but there should be a discipline. The biggest corruption going on in country is the business of casino," he said.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut alleged that state government in Goa has restricted its identity to gambling and casinos. Goa known as 'Dev Bhumi' for its culture and tradition, he said. He also alleged that the casinos are robbing Goa and the country.

TMC MP Saugata Roy took a jibe at yesteryear Bollywood heartthrob Mithun Chakraborty for joining the BJP. Congress has clarified that All India Mahila Congress president Sushmita Dev has not resigned from the party. On International Women's Day, women from Punjab reached Tikri on Delhi-Haryana border on to join the ongoing farmers' protest. A protestor said, "We urge the Central Government to roll back the three black laws." Farmers have been protesting on the different borders of the national capital since November 26 against the three newly enacted farm laws - Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
