Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tej Pratap Yadav said that people like Bihar RJD president Jagada Nand Singh are the reason behind Lalu Prasad Yadav's ill health. Yadav asserted that Singh has not written 'Azadi Patra' for release of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav from jail. He said, "I've come here but Jagada Nand Singh (Bihar RJD president) is sitting in his chamber. He has not written 'Azadi Patra' (for release of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav from jail). People like him are the reason behind my father's ill health."
On Dumka treasury case, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's lawyer, Prabhat Kumar said, "The final hearing will be heard on next Friday. CBI has been directed to file reply by that time. The case has come to half of the sentence. We are hoping that he (Lalu Prasad Yadav) will get bail on Friday (February 05)."
RJD leader Tejaswhi Yadav on February 27 announced that his party will contest the upcoming assembly elections in Assam, and also hinted at joining the Congress-AIUDF alliance. "Our party used to be a national party and we want to expand now. Assam is the gateway of NorthEast. We have decided to contest Assembly polls in Assam. We've discussed with Congress about alliance and will also be speaking to Ajmal sahab (AIUDF)," he said.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Saturday said his party will contest the upcoming Assam Assembly polls with the "like-minded" parties, a step seen as an effort to eat into votes of the BJP among the Hindi-speaking people. Ailing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav was airlifted to Delhi from Jharkhand's Ranchi. A case has been filed against 14 persons including Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Muzaffarpur Court. Lawyer at Muzaffarpur Civil Court, Jaychandra Prasad Sahni said, "Case filed against 14 persons including Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Muzaffarpur District Magistrate in a Muzaffarpur Court in connection with listing the names of people from another panchayat as voters in Chaki Sohagpu. The court hearing is on March 4, 2021."
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav will be shifted to AIIMS Delhi as his health has been deteriorated. His son and party leader Tejashwi Yadav arrived at RIMS in Ranchi to meet him. He said, "His health (Lalu Yadav) has deteriorated, he is facing breathing difficulty. I have come to see the reports after which the further decision, that will be taken, will be told to you."

Lalu Prasad Yadav, whose health condition deteriorated, has been diagnosed with lung infection. Prasad's elder daughter and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti reached Ranchi and met her father. Senior party leaders from the state were also seen making a beeline at the hospital. "Our family wants better treatment for him. Doctors to analyse what treatments can be provided here after all test reports come. He has already undergone heart surgery earlier and only 25% of his kidney is functional. He has also been diagnosed with pneumonia and he is facing difficulty in breathing. His situation is serious," Tejashwi said. On Thursday, the jailed RJD chief's developed breathing trouble with congestion in his chest. The former Bihar chief minister has been convicted in the fodder scam cases.
