Ahead of the famous Tulip festival, land preparations have commenced in Srinagar. After pandemic and followed lockdown, authorities aim to make the tulip show successful in the Kashmir Valley. Labourers have started sowing seeds and nurturing them. Tulip gardens have played a tremendous role in giving a boost to Jammu and Kashmir tourism. The Kashmir Valley is known as paradise of earth due to the natural beauty alpine, and dozens of attractive gardens, including tulip gardens which was been established in 2007.
The first women battalion of India's largest Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) unit, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was started in the year 1986. The 35th foundation day of this battalion was celebrated on February 06. Women officers are performing operational duty, signal, medical and other administrative duties in the battalion. They are deployed in sensitive regions such as Srinagar for counter-insurgency, Naxalite areas and static parts. The women battalion is also serving in Naxalite areas like- Bijapur and Dantewada. While speaking to ANI, the Commandant in CRPF's 88th women battalion, Neeraj Bala said, "Out of 1,200, 1,100 are women here for operational duty, signal, medical and other administrative duties." "They are deployed in sensitive regions such as Srinagar for counter-insurgency, Naxalite areas and static parts," she added. Speaking to ANI, the Deputy Commandant of CRPF's 88th Women Battalion, Krishna Ahlawat said, "I joined as a head constable in 1986. Faced family woes initially but they are proud of me now. Served in Naxalite areas like Bijapur and Dantewada, didn't face any problem because of my gender." "Women's induction in Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBra) unit is a positive step," she added.
Indian Army organised an event ‘Umeed Ki Sehar’ at Uri in J&K’s Baramulla. Bollywood celebrities Vicky Kaushal and Sonal Chauhan attended the one-day cultural event. Locals enthusiastically participated in the event. “I did a film on Uri but never got an opportunity to visit the place. This is my first visit to Uri. I have waited for this opportunity for long and I am very thankful to Vats sir, to the Indian Army. In the future as well, I will keep on searching for reasons to visit the place,” Vicky said. Sonal Chauhan thanked the Indian Army for the opportunity. “The best thing is that Vicky and I are the first among actors to visit Uri. I am feeling very proud. National School of Drama (NSD) Chairman Paresh Rawal on March 06 expressed hopes of the prestigious drama school's branch opening soon in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that the region offers rich culture, and if an NSD starts functioning there, the Kashmiri youths, both boys and girls, will get a motive in their lives. National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has claimed that someone pretending to be the Jharkhand Chief Minister called him and asked him to work for Mamata Banerjee. ‘A few days ago I got a fake call where a person impersonating as Jharkhand Chief Minister asked me to work for Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata and get rupees 50 lakh. I called up Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MP who told me tjat Devegowda ji (former PM) got the same call,’ the former J&K CM said. I called JMM MP who told me Devegowda (former PM) got same call," claimed National Conference president Farooq Abdullah who is smelling BJP's role in it, and said, "They'll use any means to pit us against one another."

"I request that those who want election soon should help in this delimitation process, instead of making excuses," said JandK Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha when asked about PDP and National Conference's demand for elections. "Prime Minister has assured the entire nation and the delimitation commission has begun its work. There are constitutional institutions in India. The decision is taken by the Election Commission. Let the work related to delimitation get completed, the Commission will definitely conduct elections," he added.
Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah said that he wants Congress party to be strong, united to fight the divisive forces of the country. "Congress must unite, Congress must become strong, and people look forward to Congress. They (Congress) is a part of this nation. They have been a party of 150 years," he said.
