The wild cat was seen gelling up with people on the Banjar-Kullu road in Tirthan valley. One of the persons was also seen petting the carefree and playful leopard. People present there were just glancing at the wild cat with both awe and fear.

The wild cat was seen gelling up with people on the Banjar-Kullu road in Tirthan valley. One of the persons was even seen petting the carefree leopard. People present there were just glancing at the wild cat with both awe and fear.
India's first air taxi services were inaugurated in Haryana on January 14. State Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today inaugurated the service at Chandigarh Airport. The services will start from Chandigarh to Hisar under UDAN scheme of Central Government. "For the first time in the country, a small aircraft in the form of air taxi is being used for services. In 2nd phase, services for Hisar to Dehradun will be started on January 18. In the 3rd phase, two more routes from Chandigarh to Dehradun and Hisar to Dharamshala will be added on January 23," said CM while speaking to media persons. The company also plans to include Shimla, Kullu and more Haryana routes.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a webinar on Atal Rohtang Tunnel on Jan 11 that was organised by Border Road Organisation (BRO). "The inauguration of Atal Tunnel under the adverse conditions we faced last year specifically COVID-19 is a testament to the determination of the executing team, especially the engineers, which consummated this project," said Rajnath Singh.
82 stranded tourist vehicles were evacuated in Himachal Pradeshโs Kullu on January 03. Vehicles were stranded due to havey snowfall in south portal area of Atal Tunnel near Dhundhi. Raman Gharsangi, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Manali informed that efforts are being made to restore vehicular traffic. On Jan 02, the Himachal Pradesh Police rescued over 300 tourists stranded near the Atal Tunnel at Rohtang after fresh snowfall. Tourists were stranded between South Portal of Atal Tunnel and Solang Nalla in Manali. The Lahaul-Spiti Police in coordination with the Kullu Police sent vehicles through the tunnel in the evening. All stranded tourists were rescued from Dhundhi and South Portal of the tunnel till 12.33 am and were taken to safer places in Manali. As per forecast by the Meteorological Department, snowfall around the tunnel is expected in the coming days. The world's longest tunnel at an altitude of 10,040 feet, Atal Tunnel has become a tourist destination since it was made open to public in October 2020. Watch the full video for more.
