Youth Sports practice resumes

Today marks day two of practices for youth sports.

Athletes are required to wear masks while competing and practicing.

Kimt news 3's jeremy wall joins us with the story.

George, for young athletes, mask wearing during practice is an adjustment, but that's not stopping them from doing what they love.

"* mantorville athletic director broc thrienen (trie.nen) says he hasn't heard any complaints from student athletes.

And the coaches want to get their athletes on the court, mat, and ice.

Just a side note the video you are seeing is from before masks were required.

Trie.nen tells me these hardworking athletes are willing to make sacrifices.

The athletic director says the masks are more of a challenge as <i would say it really depends on the individual, you know, other people, you know if your in pretty good physical condition coming in, it probably isn't too much of an adjustment.

If you maybe aren't in great physical condition, uh, aerobic condition coming in, it might have more of an impact.

As things stand now, no parents or fans are allowed in the stands, which is obviously a disappointment for many proud parents.
