Patrick's day parade was cancelled due to the pandemic.

This year isn't shaping up much different.

Patrick's day parade committee members officially voted to cancel this year's parade in march, but are discussing the possibility of holding the parade later in the year.

Parade co-director david wood explained that if health and safety guidelines can be met, there's plenty of motivation to get it done.

Patrick's day parade if it's safe, i think people might be clamoring to do something, and so we could probably get something put together.

It might be smaller, but i think we could get something put together because i think a lot of people will be itching to do something in the community, and this could be a great event for it.

Optimism david wood and the entire committee is optimistic it could happen, but co- director patrick mcgrath knows it's going to take a toll on people in march.
