Mary Beth Hearn founded Guide Dog Puppy Raisers Club in 1992 to raise and train Guide Dogs.

Welcome back... it c1 3 uplifting stories............. meet marybeth hearn!

When she was ten, she asked her parents if she could train a puppy to become a seeing-eye dog........and it's turned into a lifelong mission.

The retired high school teacher from california has been a volunteer puppy raiser for more than 50 years........watching most of the 56 pups she's worked with...move on to guide dog training.

Hearn started a guide dog puppy raisers club in 1992, teaching students to help raise and train service dogs.

They spend at least a year with each puppy....training them to walk on a leash and other skills.

The pups then move on to certified trainers.

Graduates go to the blind or visually-impaired.

Hearn calls the process "amazing."
