He critiqued UKCovid-19 border checks, saying: “It’s a complete mess again.
Priti Patel hastalked tough about the borders but other countries have been doing testing formonths and months... I think people will be bewildered and they will feel thatwe’re exposed - there’s a gap in our defences.
We can’t go on like this withdelayed decisions not being made in a competent way.”

Priti Patel has paid tribute to "hero" Captain Sir Tom Moore after the veteran died on Tuesday. "He was a light of inspiration at a time when we have suffered a great deal" said the Home Secretary. The 100-year-old war veteran raised over £32 million for NHS charities by walking laps of his garden during the first lockdown. Home Secretary Priti Patel has visited a vaccination centre in North-West London to promote the vaccine following reports of a low update in minority communities. "I am concerned" she said "because we are hearing messages of misinformation, disinformation associated with the vaccine". Speaking outside Neasden Temple, who's members have helped set up the centre, she urged everyone to "take the vaccine" when they get the call because it can "save your lives and it'll save the lives of others".
