Speaking on Indian Air Force (IAF) movements from Dehradun Airport over Chamoli disaster, Airport Director DK Gautam on February 08 said, "Many IAF movements took place including 2 Hercules, 2 An-32 and 4 helicopters since yesterday.
Movement of NDRF teams and their equipment also took place.
Since morning, 3 Mi-17, 1 Chinook and 1 ALH moved.
The Indian Air Force deployed its MI 17 V5 helicopter on Saturday (April 27) to combat the forest fires ravaging the Nainital district in Uttarakhand, as confirmed by the state’s Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami.
