The 34-year-old actor, whose Twitter account was permanently suspended for repeated violations of rules earlier this week, shared her diagnosis on Instagram. "I was feeling tired and weak with slight burning sensation in my eyes for past few days, was hoping to go to Himachal so got my test done yesterday and today the result came I am covid positive. Reports suggest Kangana criticised Mamata Banerjee over the alleged violence in Bengal. Kangana also took to Instagram and posted a video with 'death of democracy' in the caption. The actor demanded president's rule in Bengal & urged Centre to help stop the 'genocide’. This isn't the first time that Kangana has been penalised by the social media platform. Earlier this year in January, restrictions were imposed on Kangana's Twitter account after she had posted a tweet against the Amazon Prime Video series, Tandav.

As COVID-19 cases spread across India like wildfire, several politicos on April 16 tested positive. The court imposed a fine of Rs 11 lakh in its order on March 15. The court called the case as ‘rarest of rare case’. Ariz was convicted on March 8 for murder of a Delhi police inspector.
