He once again has gone viral on twitter this time for his abs. A picture of Rahul Gandhi which looks like it was taken after his dive into the sea on February 24 when he visited Kollam kerala is going rounds on the internet.
Rahul Gandhi took a dip in the sea with fishermen in Kerala’s Kollam on February 24. The Congress leader swam for 10 minutes in the sea, as per sources. Gandhi also cast the net and engaged in fishing along with fisherfolks. He spent nearly an hour with them before reaching interacting with them. The Congress leader interacted with fishermen at Kerala’s Thangassery beach. During the interaction, Rahul said, “Just like our farmers farm the land, you farm the sea. Farmers have a Ministry in Delhi, you don't. No one speaks for you in Delhi. Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Rahul Gandhi's claim of 'No fishery ministry in Delhi' said that the former should know that fisheries department has a budget of Rs 20,050 crore. "He should know that there is a fisheries department for which an investment of Rs 20,050 cr has been made by the Centre. In 70 years, work that couldn't be done by your 'Nanaji' and others, has been done by PM Modi," said Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Rahul Gandhi. Ahead of upcoming Assembly elections in Kerala, Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended a public meeting at Wayanad on April 3 and said Prime Minister has put forward the vision of 'FAST' and these could be the foundation of the development of the state. "For Kerala, PM Narendra Modi has put forward the vision of FAST. F stands for Fisheries and Fertiliser, A means Agriculture and Ayurveda, S means Skill Development and Social Empowerment, and T means Tourism and Technology," said Shah.
Ahead of Kerala Assembly elections, a Youth Congress worker painted his house in Kochi's Vypin with faces of party leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Oommen Chandy, R Chennithala and promises from United Democratic Front (UDF) manifesto. The Assembly elections in Kerala is scheduled to be held in single phase on April 06.
After Kerala High Court directed the Election Commission to ensure that voters with multiple entries vote only once in the upcoming state assembly elections, Leader of Opposition, Ramesh Chennithala on March 29 urged CEC to follow HC directions and do the needful for transparent polls. "It's a fraud on democracy. How can the EC go with this electoral roll? Bogus voters are now included in the list. Kerala HC has directed EC to ensure that a citizen votes only once. I urge CEC to follow HC directions and do the needful for transparent polls," he said to media persons. "There's a secret understanding between BJP and CPM. CPM wants another 5 years while BJP wants 10 seats, everybody knows about it. People are not fools, they will give a befitting reply to BJP and CPM's unholy alliance," he added. The state Assembly polls are scheduled to be held in single phase on April 06.
Congress Leader KC Venugopal assured that the party is totally prepared for the upcoming assembly elections. "Congress is totally prepared for elections. We will appeal to the people for change, for good governance. Alliance for Assam has been finalised. In Kerala and West Bengal, the alliance is almost finalized. In Tamil Nadu, talks are underway on alliance," he said.
