Ahead of assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, political parties have been actively campaigning in the state.
Taking a jibe at Sonia Gandhi and MK Stalin, Home Minister Amit Shah during his rally in Villipuram said that Sonia Gandhi is worried to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister while MK Stalin is worried to make Udhayanidhi the Chief Minister.
"On one side, there's AIADMK and NDA thinking about welfare of the poor while DMK and Congress on the other end are corrupt and follow politics of divide and rule," Amit Shah added.

Home Minister Amit Shah accused Congress of being involved in scam of Rs 12 lakh crore and mocked at DMK president MK Stalin for talking about corruption. "I feel like laughing when I hear Stalin ji talk about corruption. Who did the 2G scam? Congress was involved in scam of Rs 12 lakh crore and DMK was in alliance with it at the time," said Amit Shah during his rally in Tamil Nadu's Villipuram ahead of state assembly polls. Amit Shah further said that all three 2G, 3G and 4G are present in Tamil Nadu. "2G means 2 generations of Maran family, 3G means 3 generations of Karunanidhi's family and 4G means 4 generations of Gandhi family," he added.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam MP K Kanimozhi, who has tested positive for COVID-19, on Tuesday cast her vote for the Tamil Nadu assembly elections while wearing a Personal protective equipment (PPE) kit. The DMK leader voted at a polling station in Mylapore. "I tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, I was advised to isolate. Have been receiving medical care in a hospital. I thank all those who have sent me messages and expressed concern for my well-being," the DMK leader had tweeted on Monday. As five states of India is undergoing assembly elections, BJP chief JP Nadda said the party is confident of gaining power. He added that signals from West Bengal clearly states that BJP is walking towards victory. "In Tamil Nadu, under the leadership of AIADMK we are forming the government. The signals in the two phases of West Bengal clearly have shown that BJP is heading towards victory," said BJP's JP Nadda in Chennai.
