Ahead of polls in Tamil Nadu, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is aggressively campaigning in several cities of the state.
Rahul Gandhi held several rallies, road shows in Tenkasi on February 28.
He also drank tea at a tea stall in Adaikalapattanam village.
During his address to the masses in Tenkasi, he remembered former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Kamaraj and his leadership.
Highlighting K Kamaraj's determination to introduce Mid-day meals in the state, Rahul Gandhi said, "Tamil Nadu showed direction to India as the scheme was introduced later in country." "That's the kind of leader we want," he added.

'Newsweek' reports meteorologists have warned
that a life-threatening storm could impact millions of
people across the central United States this week.
On April 23, AccuWeather issued a warning regarding , "one of the most widespread severe
weather events so far in 2024.".
According to AccuWeather, the incoming storm , "will unleash tornadoes, hard-hitting hail
and damaging winds across a dozen states.".
On April 25, the first storm of the system is set
to arrive, closely followed by subsequent storms
expected to last throughout the weekend.
AccuWeather warned the storms are expected to pose a , "significant risk to lives and property.".

Tennessee Passes Bill , Allowing Teachers to Carry Guns.
The Tennessee House of Representatives passed the bill by a vote of 68-28 on April 23, CBS News reports.
The legislation would grant some teachers
and staff the right to carry concealed
handguns at public schools.
The bill will now be sent to Republican
Gov. Bill Lee to either sign or veto. .
If signed into law, the legislation would represent the largest expansion of gun access in Tennessee since the deadly shooting at
The Covenant School in Nashville last year.

April 4, 1968.
King was shot and killed
as he stood on the second-floor balcony
of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN.
The “apostle of nonviolence”
had gone to Memphis in support
of a sanitation workers' strike.
Widely recognized as the most prominent
face of the American Civil Rights Movement,
Dr. King was just 39 years old.
In a prophetic speech the night before his murder,
King stated that, “I’ve seen the promised land.
I may not get there with you.".
Petty criminal James Earl Ray was arrested
two months later and eventually
pleaded guilty to King's assassination.
After being sentenced to 99 years in prison,
Ray recanted his confession. Questions of a
conspiracy to assassinate Dr. King continue to linger.
King's death sparked riots in
more than 100 American cities.
On April 9, tens of thousands of mourners
lined the streets of Atlanta to pay their respects
