'NEPRA', Indore Municipal Corporation provide ragpickers work on trenching ground

The municipal Corporation gave work to garbage pickers on the trenching ground and around 700 people are currently working in NEPRA Resource Management Private Limited: India's first fully automated with dry waste segregation facility.

Mostly women are working here and living with their families.

Sangeeta Bharodia, worker, "Earlier we have to work on roads and we get Rs 150-200 daily but now we get Rs 400 daily and even families are also getting benefitted.

The company provides insurance and transportation facilities." "The credit goes to Swachh Bharat Urban Mission, issued guidelines for the ragpickers to get work in the organized sector and 700 workers are now involved in it and there is a systematic time here," said Pratibha Pal, Municipal Corporation Chief.
