Amid India's worst Covid wave yet, a sliver of hope emerged. The Union government revealed districts without new cases in weeks. 32 districts have not seen any new cases in almost a month. The Union health minister revealed the stats during ministers' meet. “For the last 7 days, 180 districts haven't seen new cases. 18 districts haven't seen new cases in the last 14 days. 54 districts haven't seen new cases in the last 21 days and 32 districts have not seen new cases in the last 28 days,” said Harsh Vardhan. However, India did add over 4 lakh new cases in just 24 hours. India currently has over 37 lakh active cases and over 2.38 lakh deaths. Watch the full video for more.

Two ailing senior citizens, a 67-year-old male from Kavaratti and a 72-year-old female from Androth in Lakshadweep, were brought to the Naval hospital in Kochi on April 30. Both the patients requiring emergency treatment for COVID-19 were air lifted and admitted to INHS Sanjivani hospital.
Even as the nation is struggling against a fresh wave of Covid-19 infections, the Union government announced some good news regarding another disease. The second wave of COVID has ravaged the country and the cases are continuously increasing in Jammu and Kashmir as well. Amid the devastation, DRDO in association with JandK administration started construction of 500-bedded COVID hospital in Budgam. All beds will be supported with supply of medical oxygen. There will be 125 fully-equipped ICU beds for COVID patients and 50-double room accommodation facility for doctors and paramedics staff.
