More than 2,000 pictures from around the world were submitted by military photographers.

US Marine Dana Beesley was crwoned the MVA Photographer of the Year who captures the powerful image of a woman kissing her camo-clad marine as he returns home from war and is greeted with a sign reading: "I've been waiting my whole life to meet you - Welcome home daddy.” More than 2,000 pictures from around the world were submitted by military photographers.
