Kashmir's transgenders lean on eachother as pandemic dries up income | Oneindia News
Kashmir's invisible minorities, the transgenders, have had to fend for themselves amid the pandemic, with no government aid coming forth separately for the sidelined community.
But Khushi took it upon herself to aid her sisters whose income had dried up as the pandemic has forced weddings to become muted celebrations.
The Indian National Congress (INC) unveiled the list of 27 star campaigners on Saturday for the Jammu and Kashmir region. Among them are notable figures such as party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. These influential leaders are set to spearhead the party's campaign efforts in Jammu and Kashmir during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, which are slated to take place across five phases. The comprehensive list of star campaigners for the parliamentary elections in Jammu and Kashmir was formally presented by INC general secretary KC Venugopal to the Secretary of the Election Commission of India.
