G-7: At least 3 detained near St Ives after protesters block main road from summit venue

At least three protesters were detained by police this afternoon (June 13) after environmental protesters blocked the main route out of Carbis Bay, leading away from the G-7 summit venue in Cornwall.

Traffic was held up as Extinction Rebellion protesters stopped their van and sat on the roof, blocking the road.

Police officers and a specialist protester removal team were on scene and quickly dealt with the demonstrators who were also 'locked on.'
