The grill maker ran into soaring supply chain costs that sliced gross margins nearly in half yr/yr from 43.6% to 22.6%.
To add to the pain, grilling was not in season in every country in which Weber operates except Australia and New Zealand.
Finally, sentiment is not being helped by Weber's prediction that conditions will not normalize during FY22.
Competing grill maker Traeger (COOK) is also trading lower.
