Over the past week, at least 87 individuals have tragically lost their lives, with 82 others sustaining injuries in various rain-triggered incidents. The NDMA's data reveals that a staggering 2,715 houses have suffered partial or complete damage across the nation. Structural collapses, lightning strikes, and flash floods have been cited as the primary causes behind the majority of the casualties. The province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the northwest bore the brunt of the devastation, recording 36 fatalities and 53 injuries, while the eastern Punjab province also witnessed significant loss, with 25 deaths and eight injuries reported.
