PM Modi inaugurates first greenfield airport, Donyi Polo in Arunachal Pradesh | Oneindia News*News
Today, PM Modi inaugurated Arunachal Pradesh’s first greenfield airport, Donyi Polo Airport, in Itanagar’s Hollongi.
He also inaugurated a 600-MW Kameng hydropower station in West Kameng district.
The foundation stone for the airport was laid by PM Modi in February 2019.
State governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra said the airport will provide easy travelling facilities for investors and in medical emergencies, besides, facilitating students studying in other states and travellers.

Polling in 102 parliamentary seats across 21 states and Union Territories in the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections commenced at 7 am on April 19 and ended at 6 pm. Over 102 parliamentary constituencies in 21 states and union territories headed to the polling booth on Friday, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. West Bengal recorded the highest turnout till 5 PM at 77.57 per cent, followed by Tripura at 76.10 per cent. Voter turnout in Assam stood at 70.77 per cent, while Manipur recorded a voter turnout of 68.58 per cent till 5 PM.
