Fans clashed with police in Buenos Aires after a day of celebrations for the national team’s return home with the World Cup trophy.

Clashes started after police moved to arrest several fans who had broken into the Obelisk monument.

Stones and bottles were hurled at police as they countered with rubber bullets and water cannons.
