On April 30, Russian forces launched a massive, multi-pronged drone and missile strike across Ukrainian cities, including Odesa. The attack resulted in multiple civilian casualties and widespread destruction of infrastructure. Ukrainian officials confirmed that ballistic missiles with cluster warheads were used in conjunction with drone swarms, marking one of the deadliest single-day aerial assaults in recent months. Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi responded by claiming that Ukrainian drones hit over 83,000 Russian targets in April alone — an 8% rise from March. With tit-for-tat drone and missile attacks intensifying and peace talks stalled, the war continues to spiral.

Russia launched deadly airstrikes across Ukraine just hours after ending its unilateral Easter ceasefire. Odesa was hit by a massive overnight drone attack, striking residential buildings, schools, and critical infrastructure. In Zaporizhzhia, Soviet-era glide bombs killed one woman and injured 22 civilians, including children. Ukraine reports over 2,900 ceasefire violations in just days. As Moscow escalates with 54 Shaheed drones in one night, tensions rise ahead of high-stakes talks between Kyiv, Washington, London, and Paris. Zelenskyy slams the ceasefire as a “sham” masking continued aggression.
