In a very significant discovery, for the first time, major deposits of Lithium have been found in India.

According to the Geological Survey of India , about 5.9 million tonnes of lithium reserves have been found in Jammu and Kashmir.

Prior to this, a small reserve of Lithium was said to have been discovered in Karnataka in 2021.

This recent discovery...and its subsequent exploration has the potential to solve many of India’s current problems. Today we take a look at what Lithium is…what this discovery means for India…and what benefits this discovery might yield in the near future.
