According to reports, radical Sikh preacher and Khalistani sympathiser Amritpal Singh, who is on the run from the police for over a week after fleeing from Punjab, has been spotted in CCTV footage in Delhi.
Sources in the intelligence agency said that fugitive Khalistani separatist Amritpal Singh underwent eye surgery in Georgia to resemble Khalistani militant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale before returning to India in 2022. According to sources, the revelation was made by aides of Amritpal Singh who are currently lodged in Assam's Dibrugarh jail after police slapped National Security Act (NSA) charges on them.

All leaves of Punjab cops have been cancelled until April 14, amid speculations that Khalistani sympathiser Amritpal Singh will surrender in Gurudwara. Amritpal Singh, who has been on the run for several days now has asked the chiefs of the top Sikh body, Akal Takht, to convene the "sarbat khalsa" gathering on the occasion of Baisakhi on April 14. Until then, the leaves of all gazetted and non-gazetted officers have been cancelled.

South Wales Police have confirmed the timeline of events that took place on the evening of a fatal crash in Ely, Cardiff, which killed two teenage boys. Chinese state media reports said that a Chinese fishing boat operating in the Indian Ocean has sunk and all 39 crew members on board are missing. Broadcaster CCTV said that the sinking happened around 3 am local time on Tuesday. Reports revealed that the crew included 17 from China, 17 from Indonesia and five from the Philippines.

The Calcutta High Court today transferred the probe into the violence that broke out during Ram Navami in Howrah and Dalkhola districts and other parts of West Bengal to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The former prime minister was arrested on corruption charges by paramilitary troops at a courthouse in Islamabad on May 9, CNN reports.
At the time, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry described
the arrest as an "abduction," saying Khan had been
"whisked away by unknown people to an unknown location.".
Khan was reportedly detained in a police headquarters guesthouse and brought before a judge in a closed-door hearing on May 10.
Khan's lawyers petitioned against
the judicial proceedings since they
didn't take place at a courthouse.
On May 11, Pakistan's Supreme Court ruled that the arrest was unlawful and Khan must be released.
Following Khan's detainment, protests have resulted in hundreds of arrests, over
300 injuries and eight deaths, CNN reports. .

over 650 protesters have been
detained in Khyber Pakhunkhwa.
1,000 supporters were arrested in Punjab.
Khan's political party released a
pre-recorded message after he was arrested.
Khan told his supporters that "the time has come for all of you to come and struggle for your rights."
