A 26% decline brings the average bonus closer to what financial employees received prior to the pandemic, Thomas DiNapoli, New York State Comptroller, via statement.

CNN reports that in 2021, Wall Street firms had a $42.7 billion bonus pool.

Last year, the pool was at $33.7 billion, marking the biggest decrease since the Great Recession.

The lower bonuses are projected to respectively bring in $208 million less and $457 million less in city and state tax revenue compared to the previous year.

While lower bonuses affect income tax revenues for the state and city, our economic recovery does not depend solely on Wall Street.

Employment in leisure and hospitality, retail, restaurants and construction must continue to improve for the city and state to fully recover, Thomas DiNapoli, New York State Comptroller, via statement

During a press exchange on May 28, Trump defended delaying steep tariffs on China and the EU, calling the jab unfair. The term has gained traction among analysts critical of his tariff flip-flops, citing economic uncertainty for markets and businesses. Kremlin SLAMS Trump’s 'Very Unhappy With Call To Putin' Comment | Russia Vows Victory In Ukraine

In a powerful display of Russian resolve, President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed Moscow’s strategic objectives during a one-hour phone call with US President Donald Trump. Despite Trump expressing disappointment over the lack of progress on a peace deal, the Kremlin stood its ground, making clear that Russia’s military and political goals in Ukraine remain unchanged. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that Moscow seeks peace—but only on its own terms. He added that Russia is paying close attention to Trump’s statements but is prioritizing long-term national interests. The call also covered cooperation in energy and space sectors, as well as Middle East stability. Putin reiterated that Russia would not compromise on neutralizing the threats that triggered the special military operation. The Kremlin described the conversation as ā€œconcrete and businesslike,ā€ signaling that Moscow will continue to engage diplomatically, but without sacrificing its core objectives. ā€˜Russia Is Using Banned Chemical Weapons’ NATO Drops Bombshell On Russia Ukraine War | Shocking [Video]

ā€˜Russia Is Using Banned Chemical Weapons’ NATO Drops Bombshell On Russia Ukraine War | Shocking

A bombshell intelligence report from Dutch and German agencies claims that Russia is intensifying its use of chemical weapons in Ukraine. According to the MIVD, AIVD, and Germany’s BND, Russia has deployed chloropicrin, a potentially lethal agent banned under the 1993 Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), signaling a dramatic escalation in battlefield tactics. The agencies warn that chemical warfare has become ā€œstandard practiceā€ for Russian troops, with even non-lethal agents like tear gas being used to set the stage for more deadly substances. Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans called the trend a ā€œslippery slopeā€ that poses a global threat. NATO allies fear this normalization could break longstanding international norms. Intelligence points to deepening Russian investment in chemical warfare capabilities and coordination by military leadership. With Russia still a CWC signatory, the revelations have sparked diplomatic outrage. The situation threatens to transform the conflict’s nature and legal framework entirely. #RussiaUkraineWar #ChemicalWeapons #Chloropicrin #NATOWarning #RussiaChemicalAttack #UkraineBattlefield #ChemicalAgents #CWCViolation #DutchIntel #GermanIntel #PutinWarTactics #Biowarfare #RussiaCrisis #UkraineConflict #NATOAlert #ToxicGasUsed #BreakingNews #TearGasAbuse #DutchDefenseMinister #MIVDBNDAIVD ~HT.318~PR.152~ED.346~

US denies aid halt to Ukraine—Trump signals shift to prioritizing Weapons while Zelensky Loses Lands

As critical weapons deliveries face delays, Ukraine’s Zelensky struggles with escalating battlefield losses. This shift raises serious questions about the future of Western support in the ongoing conflict and what it means for Ukraine’s fight against Russian aggression. #UkraineWar #MilitaryAid #Trump #Zelensky #USPolicy #RussiaUkraineConflict #DefenseStockpiles #WarInUkraine #Geopolitics #BreakingNews Also Read EU Diplomat Calls on US Lawmakers to Rethink Omission of Ukraine Aid in Stop-Gap Budget Bill :: https://www.oneindia.com/international/eu-chief-urges-us-reconsider-ukraine-aid-cut-budget-bill-gen-3648513.html?ref=DMDesc ~HT.410~PR.274~ED.194~GR.124~
