Turkish President Declares , ISIS Leader , Was Killed in Syria.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated on April 30 that Islamic State militant group leader Abu Hussein al-Qurashi had been killed.
Erdoğan stated that Turkish intelligence forces were responsible for al-Qurashi's death.
He made the statements during an
interview with TRT, a Turkish broadcaster.
This individual was neutralized as part of an operation by the Turkish national intelligence organization in Syria yesterday, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President Of Turkey,
via NBC News.
According to Erdoğan, .
... the militant leader had been pursued for an extended period.
Opposition members of the Syrian National Army have yet to comment on the matter.
Syrian officials stated that the raid occurred in northern Syria, .
... in a town called Jandaris.
Jandaris is currently under the control of Turkish-backed rebel groups.
The town was also hard-hit by the recent devastating earthquake that shook the area on Feb.
