NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg made no breakthrough on Sunday in talks about Sweden’s membership in the military organization with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with officials from the two countries to meet in just over a week to try to bridge their differences.
Dozens gathered at US, German, and French embassies in Prague, supporting the "Close the Skies" initiative to close Ukrainian airspace. Meanwhile, Czech, Dutch, and Danish Prime Ministers met with NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg to discuss increased support for Ukraine.

Sweden Officially Joins, NATO Military Alliance.
On March 7, Sweden officially joined NATO,
ending centuries of neutrality.
CNBC reports that after almost two years
since first applying, Sweden has become
the military alliance's 32nd member.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg
confirmed the news, saying that Sweden
was “taking its rightful place at our table.”.
Sweden’s accession makes
NATO stronger, Sweden safer,
and the whole Alliance more secure.

previous policy of neutrality dates

ultimately delayed the process of Sweden's accession.

the mayor of Istanbul, earning 51.1% of the vote.
