Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman said that Russia will use the nukes only as a last resort but the hypothetical use of nuclear weapons is clearly limited to extraordinary circumstances.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has upped his nuclear rhetoric ever since he sent his troops into Ukraine, leading to unprecedented tensions between Russia and the United States-led West.
