Labour accuse government of being ‘asleep at wheel’ over pay
Deputy Labour Leader Angela Rayner accuses ministers being “asleep at the wheel” and urges the need to “get round the negotiating table” and “end the strikes” over public sector pay.
A government decision on pay for public sector workers is expected to be announced as junior doctors launch their longest walkout yet over the long-running wages dispute.
