Tens of thousands of protesters on Tuesday blocked highways and train stations and massed in central Tel Aviv during a day of countrywide demonstrations against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahuâs contentious judicial overhaul plan.
Israeli-American Edan Alexander, who has been released by Hamas after 19 months in captivity has snubbed Israeli PM Natanyahu. This despite Netanyahu hailing his release as a "very emotional moment," reports say Edan has refused a personal meeting with him, citing physical and emotional exhaustion. Edan, was freed on May 12 in what Hamas called a goodwill gesture to Donald Trump, who is currently visiting the region.
