Average temperatures around
the world are expected to rise.
.
Lifehacker recently offered readers advice
from areas of the world that have already
learned to deal with extreme heat.
.
White roofs:, In Indonesia, researchers found that painting roofs
with a special thermal-reflective paint cooled
buildings by as much as 50° Fahrenheit.
White, loose clothing:, In the Middle East, India, and most other
places where it’s hot, many people wear
light-colored, loose clothing made of natural fiber.
Similar to the white roof,
the goal is to reflect the
sunlight away from yourself.
Conical hats:, The traditional sedge hat is worn throughout Asia.
It was specifically designed to combat the heat.
These lightweight hats are usually made
of bamboo and are large enough to
protect the wearer from both sun and rain.
Cool your neck:, In many of the hottest parts of the world,
people wear a versatile cotton towel that can be
used as a scarf, a head covering or a face mask.
In the heat, it’s often soaked in water and draped
over the neck and shoulders for personal cooling
How and Why, You Should Take Better Care of, Your Hairbrush.
LifeHacker reports that hairbrushes can
get really gross, with humans shedding
an average of 50 to 100 hairs every day. .
Not to mention buildup of dead skin cells, hair
care products and dust, making a hairbrush
an ideal place for bacterial and fungal growth.
Failing to clean a brush can result in
dirty hair, tangles, damage and can even
exacerbate scalp issues like dandruff.
LifeHacker recommends removing hair daily
and doing a thorough cleaning every week
if you use hair products like hairspray or gel.
If you don't use hair products,
you can extend the gap between
cleanings to every two to three weeks. .
For synthetic brushes made of plastic
and rubber, use a gentle shampoo or dish
soap to clean your brush in warm water. .
If you have a natural brush made of wood or
boar bristles, try using a sulphate-free shampoo and
consider adding one to two teaspoons of baking soda.
Synthetic brushes can be soaked,
while natural brushes should be
dipped but not submerged. .
A clean, extra toothbrush can help to
scrub around the base of bristles and
anywhere else there might be buildup. .

RFK Jr. Speaks About , Past Health Incidents , Including Brain Parasite.
CNN reports that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. offered his first public
explanation of a medical abnormality he experienced in 2010, which
he said was the result of a parasite that entered his brain and died. .
While speaking on the podcast 'Pushing the Limits with Brian
Shapiro,' Kennedy said the experience involved "brain fog" and
"having trouble with word retrieval and short-term memory.".
According to the Independent presidential
candidate, doctors initially told him they
thought he had a tumor in his brain. .
A second docotor revealed that "this is almost certainly
a parasite that got into your brain … it’s a parasite that’s very
common in India where I had done a lot of environmental work.”.
Stefanie Spear, a spokesperson for Kennedy’s campaign,
said he had “traveled extensively in Africa, South America
and Asia” while working as an environmental advocate.
When asked how the condition could impact his presidential bid,
Spear said, “The issue was resolved more than 10 years ago and he
is in robust physical and mental health. Questioning Mr. Kennedy’s
health is a hilarious suggestion, given his competition.".
In the same podcast, Kennedy detailed another experience
he had with mercury poisoning, which he said occurred
near the same time as the incident with the parisitic worm.
Kennedy said tests revealed "sky high" levels of mercury
in he blood, forcing him to undergo chelation therapy
to have the metals removed from his body.
At the same time, I was having my mercury tested,
and I was getting all kinds of tests, and my mercury
test came back sky high. So, ten times what,
you know, the EPA levels were for blood mercury,
I think it was. They were over ten times what–
what anybody considered safe. And I had that
chelated out and all of that brain fog went away, Robert Kennedy Jr., via CNN.
CNN reports that Kennedy insisted that he has
since made a full recovery from both health scares
