This was a reciprocal move from India’s end over Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's charge that it played a role in the June killing of a Khalistani terrorist.
Earlier, Canada expelled a senior Indian diplomat and accused India's hand behind the fatal shooting of the Khalistani leader.
Now, the concerned Canadian diplomat has been asked to leave India within the next five days.

Just hours after Trump’s warning of secondary tariffs on China and India, Beijing has responded with bold defiance. China’s Foreign Ministry declared it will defend its energy and economic interests, warning that “tariff wars have no winners.” Trump’s recent tweet threatens a 25% tariff on India for Russian oil deals—raising questions on who’s next. China, now importing more oil from Russia than ever, has signaled that further U.S. pressure may backfire. As Trump sets a 10-day deadline for Russia to agree to a peace deal, global tensions rise fast.

Comedian Kapil Sharma’s café in Surrey, Canada, was attacked by Khalistani terrorists on July 9. At least nine shots were fired at the café in a shocking nighttime drive-by assault. No injuries were reported. Babbar Khalsa-linked terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi claimed responsibility, citing an old remark by Sharma. Laddi, wanted by the NIA for multiple killings, including a VHP leader, remains at large. The attack has reignited concerns over Khalistani extremists operating from Canadian soil with growing impunity.
